Unbursted Bubble (May the Sphere Remain Unbroken)

As I started

Washing my cereal bowl

A small soap bubble

Floated by,

Apparently blown out of

The dishsoap dispenser

When I squeezed out soap,

Followed by another such

Perfect sphere,

And I thought of you

With a mental smile.

Not only did the

Bubble drift by,

But as it headed for my arm,

Instead of bursting

Upon impact,

It came to rest on my forearm.
