Encounter

     An alien and I met

Yesterday.  We found we

Truly wanted to discuss

Those things we had, in

Common, had to say.  He

Smirked, then smoked my

Skull and magic bus, as

Soon, to your surprise,

We shared that thought.

     The rain commenced

To fly around the tide,

When light my eyes have

Never seen blew caught.

Infinity appeared a One

Beside the doubled pace

Duration takes to flee.

     But, suddenly, the

Alien guffawed.  I knew

At last the alien is me

                      I leaped away attempting

                       To applaud, and flapped

                       My arms to stay aground

As long as I could hear

                       The home within my song
